Magical

Photobucket

With all the crazy events that have taken place over these last two weeks, I haven't got around to posting the wonderful 8th birthday party that Scottie had on the 7th of November.

Scottie's Uncle Shawn has always had a love for magic. We came up with a great idea to have a magic show party for Scottie's 8th birthday. Of course, that automatically meant Uncle Shawn would have to be our magician. He was AWESOME!! Thanks Shawn!
The kids LOVED it. One of my nephews even said, "This is the best birthday party ever! Can I have my birthday at Aunt Megan's house?"

Happy Birthday Scottie.....we love you!!

Happy Birthday ....#8

But you also grow funner too!

I'm so lucky to be your mom.
You are obsessed with sports.
It's a good thing you're coordinated :)
We've watched you grow from being a "ball-hog" to a great team player.
You love to sit with your dad and watch football or basketball.
You know all the calls and can name it before they announce it.
While Mommy's been on bed-rest, you've been a great help to me.
You are a great big brother and love to play with your litte sister and brother.
We love you so much and hope your eighth year is one you'll always remember.

Happy Birthday Scottie!

Halloween OH nine

no need to reiterate.....the title says it all

SeCoNd GrAdE

Sometimes I catch myself trying to say that Scottie is in first grade. In fact, one of the other mom's on his soccer team asked what grade he was in and I responded first. It took me a few minutes before I realized I was completely wrong! I corrected myself and told her he was actually now in the second grade. I must just be loosing my mind because I also thought I already put his first day of school pictures on the blog.

Pioneer Day

Since we didn't buy our own fireworks and light them for the fourth of July, we made sure we got some for the 24th. ALL of Scott's family was together, including his youngest brother Kevin who just returned from his mission to London, England.

Photobucket

It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed each other's company! There was lots of people....so, lots of entertainment and lots of things to do. The last time we were all together was when we sent Kevin off on his mission. It's always great to reunite.

Traditions.....still love 'em. Went to the Parade in the morning, bbq in the afternoon, derby and the fireworks show at night!

Photobucket

That's Scottie throwing one of those pop-its. Ya, he asked to go to a fireworks stand a "few" times. I don't think I'll be letting any of those babies get in his hands anytime soon. I could just see it now....Scottie Brown...the firestarter!

Wish I could say I took some pictures at the derby, but at that point in time I was way too fatigued to be lugging around my big camera. I could have just taken some pic's with my point and shoot camera....if I only had a brain.

Carnival

As soon as Grandpa Brown heard the carnival

was in town, he had to make the

announcement.

There was no way he was going to let it go

by without taking the kiddies.

Photobucket

Many times the kids stopped dead in their tracks to

look at the rides!

Photobucket

They had a BLAST! and you know NONE of the boys can

go without testing their basketball skills

Photobucket

I had my mind set on finding the yummy BBQ I could smell.

I never found it, but I'll tell you what I did find....

a caramel apple covered in nuts!!!!

Photobucket

I'm afraid the picture below is a scary view into my future!!!

Photobucket

We had so much fun and even better, we had great timing!

Right when we finished

all of our rides & even had a potty break, it started to pour down rain.

Moab

Every year we take a trip down to Moab in June for
a bowling tournament. What? Did that catch you
off guard....a bowling tournament....Moab?????
Ya, it has that affect on most people.
Photobucket
Our little family started this tradition the moment Scott
and I started dating......but
his family started this tradition long ago when
Scott was a young child

Photobucket

I have to admit it was about five years after we had been going that I

decided we needed to venture out and do a little more than

bowling. Of course, you can't leave out the swimming and golfing that we do

.....they're never abandoned.

AND here's daddy....showcasing his muscles & showing

the kids a good time

One of the first non-bowling, golfing, swimmingish, activities we did

was white water rafting. That was very fun. I think a year later

we finally visited Arches for the first time. Hello! What

took us so long?!?!

{Eric and Sarah ^}

This year we went Rock Crawlin' with our good friends Eric & Sarah

or as my kids like to call them "The Epps." Shawn and Chelsea and her brother

Ellis and his girlfriend Kirstie went along for the ride and made it quite

adventurous!!

The picture just above with the jeep is Eric's. He was a "pro"

on the trail we took called "Hell's Revenge." I

guess he's been to hell once or twice before.

He's Movin' on!

Scottie had his last day of school on the 29th
of May. All the kids in every grade get
to learn a dance and then showcase it
to family and friends.

Personally I think he's got some moves, if anyone asks me!

Photobucket

We were so lucky to be able to get him into the same

school his grandma works at! I think they both thoroughly enjoyed

having eachother so close.

Photobucket

With us finding a new house, Scottie was pretty nervous he would

have to start up at a new school again. Luckily his wish came true and he gets

to stay at his same school! We've registered Savana for Kindergarten

and now Scottie can show her the ropes!!
